Both NON fans and critics praised the band in 2011 just after they released their second full length, “Borrachos, Chingasos, Y Rucas” and included their Irish Folk song, “Ode to the Drink”. The Punk Rock Tribune claimed that it was a song “so well written and arranged that Flogging Molly is probably jealous that they didn’t write it”. PunkBands.Com stated that the song “makes you want to raise your glass high in the air and throw your arms around some wasted friend while you all sing along.” PunkRockReview.Com said that it is “simply the perfect Irish song in every way.” The “Ode to the Drink” EP has a limited pressing of just 500 copies, and features four different versions of the fan favorite, including the original acoustic version, as well as the punk rock version that includes guest vocals from Cris MoSkill of ATM and viola by Ryan Butler of Landmine Marathon. The EP also contains a live recording of the track that was originally released on the out of print “Forget This, I’m Going to Tokyo” EP, as well as a previously unreleased special acoustic recording of the song that NON performed live, and on air at ASU’s “The Blaze” 1260AM.
